  4. Agorax is a law firm and processes data about natural persons (personal data). This includes data relating to:

    • Persons who are clients or principals or who work for clients or principals of Agorax;
    • Third parties whose data are included in the files that Agorax handles, such as opposing parties and other lawyers;
    • Visitors to the Agorax website;
    • Persons from whom Agorax purchases products or services (suppliers);
    • Applicants.

    • Purposes: Legal services, including advice and conducting procedures; Compliance with legal obligations; Invoicing and maintaining administration; Marketing and business development activities.
    • Grounds: Execution of the agreement; Legitimate interest; Compliance with legal obligations; Your consent.

Website Visitors

  1. When you visit the website www.agorax.com, Agorax may process the following personal data:

    • Personal data: Information regarding the device you use to visit the website and your location; Your IP address; Information about your visit to the website.
    • Purposes: Showing you the Agorax website; Generating statistics regarding the use of the website; Improving the website; Handling emails sent via the website.
    • Grounds: Execution of the agreement; Agorax's legitimate interest in improving the website.

Suppliers

  1. When Agorax purchases goods and/or services from suppliers and/or service providers, Agorax processes personal data of those suppliers and/or service providers and/or persons who work for them:

    • Personal data: Name and contact details; Chamber of Commerce number; VAT number; Payment and bank details; Data about orders or purchasing services.
    • Purposes: Placing orders or purchasing services; Invoicing, administration, and internal management; Handling and settling disputes with suppliers; Maintaining contacts; Compliance with legal obligations.

Applicants

  1. When you apply for a job at Agorax, Agorax processes your personal data:

    • Personal data: Name and contact details; Payment and bank details and travel expenses; Nationality and date of birth; Availability, CV, employment history, and training history; References as provided by the applicant or referent.
    • Purposes: Assessing whether an applicant can be hired; Salary payments and personnel administration; Compliance with legal obligations.
    • Grounds: Execution of the agreement; Legitimate interest; Compliance with legal obligations.

Data Retention

  1. Agorax does not store personal data longer than necessary:

    • For the purposes for which they are collected or processed.
    • To comply with laws and regulations, such as storing accounting data for seven years.
    • Application data will be retained for up to four weeks after the application procedure or for one year if the applicant gives permission.
    • Personal data related to complaints will be retained for a maximum of two years after the complaint has been resolved.
    • Closed case files are archived for five years.

Recipients of Personal Data

  1. Agorax only shares personal data with third parties to the extent necessary for the purposes mentioned above. Agorax may share data with:

    • Clients involved in handling your case;
    • Suppliers (e.g., translation agencies, bailiffs, accountants);
    • Opposing parties, lawyers, insurers, experts, authorities;
    • IT service providers and others acting on behalf of Agorax.

Data Transfer

  1. Agorax may use third-party services located outside the EU. If this is the case, Agorax ensures appropriate safeguards, such as contracts based on EU-approved model provisions.

Your Rights

    • The right to request correction or erasure of your data;
    • The right to object to processing or request restriction of processing;
    • The right to withdraw consent for processing;
    • The right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
    • The right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
  2. Agorax does not use automated decision-making as defined in Article 22 GDPR. You can submit a request via info@agorax.com.

  3. Agorax will respond to your request within one month. This period may be extended by two months for complex requests.

  1. This privacy statement was last updated on October 1, 2024. Agorax may amend this statement periodically. The latest version will be posted on the website.
