Ellen specialises in international trade law, with a focus on sanctions law and export controls. Drawing on this expertise, she regularly advises clients on issues of an international nature, with a keen eye for the risks involved in complex, cross-border transactions.
Ellen studied at Tilburg University and the University of Sheffield, and obtained her Master’s degree in International Trade and Investment Law from the University of Amsterdam. Before starting her career as a solicitor, she was affiliated with the University of Amsterdam as a research and teaching assistant, which further deepened her knowledge and understanding of Dutch, European and international law.
With her academic background and practical experience, Ellen offers clients a sharp and thorough approach to issues relating to international trade transactions, sanctions compliance and export control regimes. She provides clients with practical, hands-on advice.
